Pelargonium lover ''Mecca' Sweden

Hello to all!
At last my dream come trough and last Thursday i went to Sweden. Goodness me,,my traveling didn't started very promising, flight to Oslo were canceled, holding tears i went back home,,i has to wait for next bus in Swords,,my bus come and same time got sms from SAS that my flights are re booked and this time i'm going trough London, and then Stockholm...walk across  street and waited for bus back to airport,at end after midnight i step out of plane  in Stockholm. Thanks to my friend Una and her family, who met met me,and shown me all around.
So next day we went to see Uppsala Botanic gardens, not much to see there on this time of year, but if you know plants not to hard imagine how beautiful it looks in summer. And had nice walk around town.
Saturday, that day come what i was waiting for-we went to biggest plant fair in Scandinavia  ''Nordics gardens''  in Stockholm.
Oh moi...it was like in pelargonium heaven, here in Ireland all what we can find is bedding pelargoniums,there...every pelargonium lovers dream.Species and hybrids, all sizes and prices.Hybrids what you can get only there, and who come from this country from centuries ago, like Marbaca pelargoniums.
Of course i brought home new pelargoniums, but you will see them here on blog when time come and they will be in flower.
I have nice and big album in my facebook page here you're welcome to visit it.

Seeds and sowing.

I ordered some seeds as i said,,one batch come in last Tuesday ,so today i got ready for sowing tomorrow. These will be more for pots and borders outside,,but who knows, maybe some ends up in show room.    Sometimes pelargoniums have difficulty to brake seed cover,so to help to germinate i found on internet one interesting tip,,before sowing soak pelargonium seeds for night, and use very hot water for it.So i did that today, and tomorrow i will sow them.  There is one more interesting method ,what you can use if you sow very rare seeds of pelargoniums,,i didn't use it yet. There it is   As promised there is my pelargonium BrunswickAnd at end,,look at this foliage,,is it not beautiful?!''Bronze Butterfly''

Budding.

Oh,,so long winter and spring coming so slowly.Nights still cold and try to cover my plants in polytunnel every night.Last electricity bill was so big, that i thought i will have to move out until ''storm'' at home will be over :) But thanks goodness i didn't have to.
So whats new...sowed some pelargoniums, ordered some seeds of species, ordered new pelargonium hybrids.Took some cuttings.
But most exciting news are that some  of my pelargoniums are budding, and some of them will flower for me for first time.Like Pelargonium cotyledonis,,sowed in begging of 2013.

On other happy for me discovery was week ago on Zonartic ''Lara Marjorie'' and Unicorn zonartic ''Hot Butter'',,yeah,,they have small buds :)Both come form www.sutarve.se last year.

Tidy up time.

Busy in polytunnel last couple weeks, cleaning, moving plants form glasshouse, making room for tender plants who were all summer in pots outside, some were planted in ground too. They are still there, weather still is very mild for autumn in Ireland, feels like this time it is on my side.
Some of little seedlings of species pelargoniums woke up after summer dormancy, nice,i was afraid that they won't ,because they were so small then.
There some photos of this year sowed plants.
 Pelargonium dolomiticum,,yesterdays discovery,,it growing flower stem :)

 Pelargonium crithmifolium.
 Pelargonium incrassatum
 Pelargonium campestre
And pelargonium australe, very fragile leaves,i was re potting it and broke off couple of them.
